ISLAMABAD, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Foreign Minister of France Jean-Noel Barrot on Friday expressed concern over serious ceasefire violations made in Lebanon, the Foreign Office said here.
During a telephone conversation, the leaders underscored the importance of full implementation of the ceasefire and strict adherence to its terms, the office said in a statement.
Barrot also congratulated Pakistan on its role in helping secure the initial ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States, and voiced support for Pakistan's continued efforts to pursue a diplomatic path toward lasting peace and stability in the region.
The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing economic and trade cooperation, while agreeing to remain in close contact, the statement added. ■
